The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has officially nominated Akhtar Hossain as its candidate for the Rangpur-4 constituency in the upcoming 12th National Parliamentary Election. The party made the announcement during a press briefing held at its central office on Monday evening.
According to party sources, Akhtar Hossain has been actively involved in the political scene of Rangpur for several years. He is known for maintaining strong grassroots connections and for participating in various community-based initiatives in the region.
During the announcement, the NCP General Secretary stated, “We have chosen a candidate who has proven his commitment to the people and our party values. Akhtar Hossain is a dynamic individual who will work for real change if elected.”
In response, Akhtar Hossain said, “Politics, to me, is not about power but about serving the people and fighting for their rights. If elected, I am determined to transform Rangpur-4 into a model constituency through development, transparency, and citizen-focused policies.”
As election fever builds up across Bangladesh, several major political parties have started announcing their candidates and launching early campaigns. Political analysts believe that NCP’s nomination of Akhtar Hossain will bring a new dimension to the electoral race in Rangpur-4.
